Amond arrives in the capital on one of the few merchant vessels his family owns, it's not a large boat but it's enough for himself and a small crew of slightly animalistic looking individuals who would serve as personal guards for the duration of this trip, and to help him settle a score with an old friend in some excessively petty but not too damaging way. Other than that he was to attend some boring court meeting with people scared enough to be polite to his face but who everyone knew insulted his family behind his back. He sighs wishing he was at home studying magic

Massilion however is already At the court , he stands in ons of the massive parlors chatting with one of the many footkissing officials of the king ,holding a glass of sherry in his hand routinely taking sips from it . As he chats with the man he notices Amond walking in but decides not to pursue , he had fired the man not a week ago after all.

Amond wasted no time in heading for the nearest servant serving wine glasses and gulping a whole glass down. His presence instilled fear and distaste in the other nobles, and was one of the few things that kept them at bay, as they began to awkwardly avoid the area he stood in. In response he merely scowled in distaste of them. When he was younger he had tried socializing and chatting with the other nobility, but they had avoided him like the plague. No one afforded the storm's respect, for they had nothing the other nobles wanted... Yet all feared their power. Amond stood awkwardly in a corner as he reflected on the strange position he found rather amusing

Masillion glances over to the corner before finishing his glass and sets it down on one of the many Servant' s platter . As he sees the rather rough around the edges noble glaring at the others he decides to walk over to a nearby snack table to test the surrounding waters . He knew Amond could hold grudges longer then a tortoise could live .

Amond pays little attention to him, instead slowly drinking more wine

He off-handedly dips some bread into some cheese fondue and walks over to check out the wines "Anything good here is it all that stale amontillado ?"He asks as he looks over a bottle.

"Good stuff is mostly kept at the inner circles table, but this makes the night pass faster" Amond says dryly not betraying much interest in what his former partner is doing

"I agree , I find that the more dainty and reserved the alcohol is the weaker "He says as he proceeds to look at a red wine bottle ,wondering if he should just get a glass or take the whole bottle.

"I didn't come here to compare shit wines with you" Amond says as usual having no tact what so ever "nor am I interested in doing so now"

He just smiles faintly ,deciding to take the whole bottle ,looking over his shoulder a little to see if anyone saw . Seeing that nobody has noticed he takes the cap off , well he can't just drink the whole bottle with no food can he? To the others it would be alike to a drunken braggart wretching in the corner of the bar . He rubs his chin ruefully ,seemingly deep in though ,there had to be somewhere in here he could get an actual meal . Through his tour or the permitted parlors and dining halls of the court he had seen no actual food ,just small collections of fruit and bread and not much else. "Dammit all!!"

Amond pulls a roast chicken out of his robe and offers him a piece

*Walks into the room and sighs drink my own wine*
"Why did my father ever send me here?

"Did you just pull that out of your armpit " he says casually as he takes the turkey leg .

Amond simply says "take it or leave it" and waves Charles over

*Walks over*
"Nice to see you Amond..."

Massil looks over it , it's surprisingly clean for an armpit turkey....he'll take that gamble . He walks over to a nearby small table ....hmmm , wonder if Amond has any salad. He sets down his food and walks over to greet Charles .

"Nice to see you as well Charles, how's the sister?" Amond asks offering him some wine

"She is fine...No thanks I brought my own..."
*Sees Massil coming over*
"Is he alright?"

"I'm never alright Charles" He states as he looks wistfully at a nearby red velvet cake . Wow....that looks rather nice ,but he's on a diet now He remembers the days where A mind would tease him ceaselessly over the subject.

Amond cuts himself a slice of red velvet cake and eats it slowly as he stands next to the other two

"Isn't he from one of the more grander families?"

Gives him a "I hate you" glare ,how can a man eat so much but never gain any weight . For him it was always a constant struggle between appearing to skinny ,thus appearing weak , and appearing to chubby giving to much of a pampered look.

Amond dangles the cake in front of him and says to Charles "so am i" accompanied with an unnerving glare

Makes a strange motion resembling to strangling someone but then just sighs and gets himself some salad .

"Yea but you are one of those undesirables...Just because your lands are poor...But talking to the traitor family isn't great for most families..."
